SankofaSpirit International 

SankofaSpirit Inc was created to compliment SankofaSpirit (www.sankofaspirit.com) an Atlanta based non-profit organization dedicated to providing cultural and educational programs and services. SankofaSpirit Inc is comprised of a collective of talented individuals, preferred suppliers and information resources. 

Theresa Charles, President/CEO

Theresa Charles received her African centered foundation in Chicago starting as a pre-schooler at the Shule Ya Watoto (School for Children) followed by African centered elementary and middle school. The foundation was cemented not only within the community but at home.

After graduating from Clark Atlanta University with a B.A. in Marketing and Management, Theresa started and event production company that created and produced three Afrocentric bridal shows in Chicago.

While completing her event management program at George Washington University, she took a cultural heritage tourism class that peak her interest in traveling abroad. She then co-organized a Rites of Passage Research Study Tour to Ghana, West Africa in 1999.

From these experiences Theresa founded SankofaSpirit in 2002 dedicated to providing cultural and eduational programs and services focus on Africa and the African Diaspora.
